Should Japan abandon its nuclear power plants?

Less than 57 people died directly from the Chernobyl disaster, and it had a meltdown that burned for months. The worst that happened was some increase in thyroid cancer, which is very treatable, and can be prevented with iodine pills. No one was injured that lived more than 10 miles from it. [1] Japan is no where as bad as Chernobyl. Instead of abandoning it, they need to do the opposite. They need to man up, and send every cement truck they have in the country, to contain it, and any water that might run off from it. The whole world should send brave men who don't want to live any more, to volunteer to help it from being worse.
