Welcome to the community Slim husband. Thanks for your great edits on Debate:Prostitution they look great. I'm impressed. I featured you and one of the arguments you outlined on the main page. Have a look. Please, keep it up. And, join the mailing list. Beyond that, I would love to share a phone call. Let me know. I'm the founder of the site (BTW). So, you've done a wonderful job. Thank you. A couple times though, you've diverged from the intent of articles. Make sure not to write personal comments and declarations at the top of pages (such as the Turkey EU membership debate). Also, remember, that we are engaged in outlining/documenting arguments in an encyclopedia mind-set. So, don't use "I" and try not to express your personal opinion. Debatepedia and me

The long-term goal for Debatepedia is to create the "Wikipedia of pros and cons", a truly global encyclopedia of debates and arguments, and do to the public debate what Wikipedia has done to the encyclopedia. Certainly, lofty. But, if we accept the lessons learned from Wikipedia, doable. For myself, I'm fully employed by Debatepedia/IDEA. So, its financially sustainable, assuming we can continue to raise funds and move the project in a sustainable direction (note, the ads on the site - from Ad Brite [instead of Google because we're getting a Google Grant]). I'm a political mind, so, long-term I envision running for office or getting more deeply involved in actual policy making. For now, though, this is a very compelling ride. I hope you'll join me. -- Brooks Lindsay 09:14, 23 April 2009 (CDT)
