On argument pages and supporting evidence

Dalbir, I'm not sure I understand the content you are building on some of the argument pages. In the below argument, for instance, I don't see how the links you've made are supporting evidence for that particular argument.

Community forum

Debatepedia:Community_forum

Hey Dalbir, would you mind making a couple of comments on the community forum. Just things that pop into your head. I'm really trying to get that going, but right now its just me. If we could dialogue about ways to improve the community-growth of Debatepedia there, it would be a good thing for for thinking through some ideas, and for showing the community that the community forum is going, and worth writing something in. -- Brooks Lindsay 13:47, 2 April 2008 (CDT)

No authorship

Dalbir, I noticed that you "signed" one of the arguments you presented. Arguments do not have authorship on debate pages. Rather, they are presentations or documentations of a line of argumentation (not associated or accredited with any one author). -- Brooks Lindsay 11:07, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

Length of arguments

Dalbir, a number of the arguments you presented are quite long. That's good on one level. But, we need to make sure that the arguments we present on the debate pages are widdled down to the essence of a particular argument, instead of lengthy expositions. Lengthy expositions can and should be presented on argument pages. -- Brooks Lindsay 11:02, 31 March 2008 (CDT)

Hey

Hey Dalbir, I'm going to be spending time on the water privatization debate today. Read your email on it - loved the cartoon. -- Brooks Lindsay 12:31, 7 January 2008 (CST)

Vegetarianism

Thanks for the contributions on the Vegetarianism debate. We are soon going to be working on Debate:Animal Rights if you're interested in helping with that debate. Many of the arguments cross-apply, so you can cut-and-paste them from the vegetarianism debate over to the Animal Rights debate, and then, on the argument pages, put a link back to the "Animal Rights" parent debate. I hope all is well. -- Brooks Lindsay 17:49, 22 May 2008 (CDT)
