Do fathers have a right to be informed of an abortion?

Background and context

In most countries, including Western Democracies, women have the right to abort a fetus without informing the father of the unborn baby. Is this justifiable? Or should men, who have an equal claim to the unborn baby, have at least some say in the question - or, at least the right to be informed?
